1 DaySpice Tour, Stone Town Walking Tour and Prison Island Tour
The program includes one of the largest plantations in Zanzibar, where cloves, vanilla, coconuts, cardamom, ginger, turmeric, nutmeg, herbs, ornamental plants and tropical fruits are grown. Fruit tasting and local lunch.
Then a visit to Stone Town – a city of stone, presenting the rich culture and history of Zanzibar, where little has changed in the last 200 years. The city was one of the major centers of the slave trade in East Africa. Stone Town, the oldest district of Zanzibar, has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List (Freddie Mercury was born here!). A walk through the narrow streets of Stone Town, a visit to the city market, free time for shopping. Tropical fruits, seafood, local cinnamon and products from local hosts will let you feel the true taste of Africa.
Then, take a boat trip to Prison Island, home to long-lived tortoises. Prison Island, or Prison Island, is located about 20 minutes by boat from the famous Stone Town. The walls of the former building remain, and the biggest attraction are the huge Aldabra turtles imported from the Seychelles – some individuals weigh over 400 kilograms!
